Terms of service
Last updated October 25, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Datapad, which runs FoundWell (foundwell.net). By creating an account or subscribing, you agree to them. If you sign up for a company, you confirm you may agree on its behalf.
The service
FoundWell does search engine optimisation for your website, which must run on WordPress or Umbraco. Each month it maps keywords, writes and publishes content, fixes existing pages, checks indexing, tracks what search engines and AI assistants say about you, watches competitors, drafts outreach and social posts, and reports on results. What is included can change as we improve the service. If we remove something important, we'll tell you first.
Your account and connections
- Keep your login details safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- You may only connect websites, CMS accounts and Google Search Console properties you own or are authorised to manage.
- You give us permission to sign in to your CMS with the credentials you provide, and to create, edit and publish content and settings there, as part of the service.
Autopilot and approval
In autopilot mode, FoundWell publishes content and applies fixes without asking first, except free tools, drafts that still read as AI-written and fixes it can't make itself, which wait for you. In approval mode, articles and page changes wait until you approve them; your llms.txt is still updated without asking. You can switch modes at any time in your settings. FoundWell drafts outreach pitches and directory submissions but never sends or submits them: you do that yourself.
Content
- Content FoundWell creates for your site is yours. You may use, change and remove it as you wish.
- Content is written with AI from the facts you give us and public information. We check it against your business details, but AI can make mistakes. Keep your business details accurate, and tell us when your products or prices change.
- You remain responsible for what is published on your website.
- You give us permission to use your website's content, brand name and business details to provide the service.
Acceptable use
You may not use FoundWell for websites that are illegal, deceptive or harmful, to make false claims about competitors, to spam, or to try to break or overload the service.
No guaranteed results
Search engines and AI assistants decide rankings and answers themselves and change how they work often. We do the work described above, but we can't guarantee any specific ranking, traffic, mention or revenue.
Billing
- FoundWell is a monthly subscription per website, billed in advance through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe.
- You can cancel at any time from the billing page in your settings. The subscription then ends at the close of the period you have paid for, and we don't refund partial months.
- If a payment fails, we pause work on your site until it is paid.
- We'll give you at least 30 days' notice of a price change.
Ending the service
When your subscription ends, we stop working on your site. Content already published stays on your site. You should remove our CMS credentials and turn off Allow FoundWell in the FoundWell plugin, or remove the plugin, if you installed it. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where we reasonably can.
Privacy
How we handle your information, including Google Search Console data, is described in our privacy policy.
Liability
We provide FoundWell with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost revenue or indirect damages. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll email you at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you don't agree, you can cancel before then.
Law
These terms are governed by Dutch law, and disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands.
